Hurry up + wait...in Burberry + Stella

I look back at older blog posts from 2020 and am incredibly grateful to be out in the world again. Seeing people, traveling and catching up ”IRL” feels wonderful, yet I’m simultaneously reminded of the “hurry up and wait” syndrome that is associated with travel, today more than ever. Building in time to catch flights, sit in traffic and getting around leaves little wiggle room for catching my breath in between appointments nowadays, so when the rare occasion occurs, I revel in it!

While waiting for round two of my meetings, I am enjoying a quiet moment in a long sleeve stretch Stella McCartney “tattoo” top with velvet embroidery, a pair of mermaid print high waisted sheer double layer Burberry trousers , a Ralph Lauren neutral tone textured belt and Hermes bone colored Cayla Mules.

I added wood Hermes tonal bangle bracelets that were given to me for my wedding anniversary to commemorate the traditional gift of wood on the fifth year and Tiffany & Co. gold Ball Drop earrings to compliment the soft hues. Finally, after deliberating over which bag to pair, I ended up carrying a circular Wolf Sophia mini bag which is truly a travel vessel but often used as a double duty bag, especially when it blends in so perfectly! (In this case with the neutrality of the shoes and belt).

It feels great to be out and about again and there’s much to be done. How is your reboot going?

XO
