I hope you are all recovering from Labor Day weekend! It's such a harbinger of new beginnings, the rush of Autumn and...dare I say it?...the holiday season.
For the last official Summer weekend, I'm featuring a classic Americana look (from designers all over the world!). For starters, I'm wearing a Roberto Cavalli Panelled Stretch-denim Maxi Skirt with a long sleeved v-neck bodysuit by Veronica Beard. (You may recall the bodysuit from one of my first posts).
I've added some color with a red Hermes Constance belt, a red and blue Citizen's US Open Watch, a fabulous red bauble ring by Trina Turk and my favorite Anya Hindmarch Ebury Sticker-Print Leather Tote Bag in red.
Because I'm always chilly in air conditioning, I layered a black Silvia Tcherassi blazer that my dear friend brought back for me from Bogota a few years ago. It has contrasting white detailing/buttons and can be worn or thrown over shoulders. The jacket is still in her collection and it goes so great with so many different looks especially when you ruche the neck (not seen in the photos). I had to pay homage to this great Colombian designer when I was recently in Bogota and couldn’t resist purchasing a few more of her unique pieces.
Finally, my old reliable white Comme des Garçons PLAY x Converse Chuck Taylor® Hidden Heart Low Top Sneaker give this look a little fun and edgy compliment while also providing comfort!
What did you wear this Labor Day Weekend?
