Get Ready to Spring Forward!

Get Ready to Spring Forward!

The weather outside is still frightful, but, believe it or not, it will be Spring before we know it. And that means one thing: it’s time to get moving!

After all, Spring weather, Spring fashions and Spring travel are all better when you feel and look your best.

I don’t do any fad dieting to get ready, just lots of veggies, water, and an overall balanced diet are what works for me long-term.

When it comes to feeling and looking my best, for me, the X factor is workouts. Of course, I need a great playlist. Here’s what I’m currently sweating to:

But we can’t forget the fashion, can we? And one of the great things about fashion today is the seemingly infinite selection of athleisure wear, from couture to bargain basement.

Designers and celebrities have jumped into the athleisure pool. Gucci has an Activewear line available on their website with prices that range from $700 - $2,500. Stella McCartney designed a line for Adidas, and then there’s (among others) Rihanna’s Fenty Puma, Beyoncé’s Ivy Park, and Kanye West’s Yeezy lines.

Here are some of my personal favorites:

Alo Yoga - While their Moto Leggings are popular to celebrities like Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner, I am personally a fan of their airbrushed leggings that come in 12 shades. For me, the soft neutral tones are a refreshing take from the black and bright colors typically seen in other lines.

Athleta - www.athleta.com - I’m a fan of Athleta for their competitive pricing and bang for the buck. Athleta turns out a quality line of everything you need from leggings, sports bras, jackets, etc. that are fashion forward and hold up well after several washes.

Lulu Lemon  - I admire the craftsmanship and strong branding of LuluLemon. I’ve owned and worn a great deal of their clothing and have always been happy with it.

Laain ‘Bianca Side Arrow stripe’ Leggings and ‘Suzanne Curve Slash’ top- Available at Carbon38.com - While these are both a little pricey, they are made with superior quick-drying material that is both soft and slimming. I love the clean athletic styles and color palette Laain uses. They have a classic look without being boring, and they use beautiful colors.

Outdoor Voices - Outdoor voices is growing favorite for a few good reasons. They call themselves a “recreational brand” and their philosophy is about inspiring people to be active at any level and to get out and “do something.” They make quality athletic wear that is trendy without being too edgy or revealing for people who appreciate a more conservative but fashionable look.

Off we go! What would YOU wear while working out?
